Discipleship Teams are made up of first and second year CSOM students, led by 1-2 adult Discipleship Coaches. D-Teams focus on spiritual growth through application of scripture, shared experiences, and group discussion. D-Teams are truly one of the highlights of the CSOM experience.
Missions & Outreach
Each year, CSOM students have the opportunity to participate in local outreach events and travel on short-term missions trips. The events vary each year and, in some cases, may involve additional fundraising. These trips are often some of the most memorable moments for CSOM students. Stepping into a different community or culture to share your faith is life-changing.
Discipleship Coaches are a crucial part of CSOM D-Teams. Some of our coaches are from the CSOM staff, as well as committed adult volunteers from Centerbranch Church. We believe this intergenerational model of discipleship is key to long-term growth.
Local CSOM students often live at home to keep costs low. However, CSOM students can also apply to stay in a host home during the school year. Host families are actively involved with Centerbranch Church and ardent supporters of CSOM. Host homes are vetted and offer a welcoming home environment that will help students have a successful year.
Biblical community is an important component of healthy discipleship. In addition to the CSOM student body, CSOM students will be integrated into the greater Centerbranch Church family. Church staff are highly involved with CSOM students as well.
Another unique element offered to CSOM students is the chance to experience various areas of church ministry through on-the-job training and personal mentoring provided by the experienced ministry staff. As students pursue their individual call to ministry, the hands-on experience will allow them to explore a variety of areas as they determine a specific focus.
